Dear Sir or Madam,
   To use NAMD, I am trying to build CHARM++, on SGI/Altix with MPI and
the gcc compiler. I'm getting errors at the command starting env
MPICXX=...

   Next I shall look for the files conf-mach.sh and conv-mach.h in src/arch.

    Your advice would be welcome.
