Computational Topology for Shape Modeling
Abstract: Applications of computational topology in computer graphics
focus on detecting and controlling the connectivity and genus of shape
models. This talk will review a number of such methods for a variety
of shape models including surface meshes, implicit surfaces and even
self-similar fractal objects, and will conclude with some open
problems motivated with compelling shape modeling applications.
