Summary:
* CITES adds WPA2 network in addition to UIUCnet wireless
* Nothing changes for wireless in Siebel Center (DCSnet or dcs-wpa)
CITES will release a beta test of their WPA2-secured wireless network
starting Monday, January 28th. This is similar to our dcs-wpa wireless
network in Siebel Center, but will be available in almost all other
campus buildings.
The network name is "UIwpa2" and works similarly to dcs-wpa, but with
newer security settings. (Notably WPA2 and AES security.) As with
dcs-wpa, it uses the Active Directory login and password and no second
authentication (QuickConnect or VPN) is required.
For step-by-step instructions on how to configure your system to
connect to UIwpa2, please see the UIwpa2 documentation page:
UIwpa2 will not intially be available in Siebel Center, although we're
investigating it as a future replacement for dcs-wpa. If you have
feedback on CITES WPA2 network, please let us know.
